2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Principle

GL Zürich and Hilfswerk GL Zürich attach great importance to protecting the privacy of those using their services and products. It is a matter of course for them to handle personal data responsibly. Under no circumstances will personal data – i.e. information that determines the identity of the user or makes it determinable for us – be passed on or sold for marketing purposes.

The following is a general outline of the personal data collected, processed and stored by GL Zürich or Hilfswerk GL Zürich.

2.2 General Use

In principle, you can visit the GL Zürich website without providing any personal information. Our web servers automatically register non-personal, technical information of the requesting computer, such as the model of the hardware you are using, the IP address, the browser used, the language of the browser, the operating system or the internet provider. The collection and processing of this information is used, among other things, to enable or optimize the use of our website.

When processing an order in the web store, the internet connection is SSL-encrypted to protect your data.

2.3 Cookies or Similar Technologies

Your browser or device may be identified by cookies or similar technologies. They do not normally contain any personal data, but they do make it easier for you to use our website.

GL Zürich and Hilfswerk GL Zürich collect data from its members that are necessary for the establishment and execution of the membership relationship.

If you order a product or service from us by telephone, in writing, or in our web store, we collect the data required to provide the delivery or service.

If you make a non-anonymous donation to GL Zürich or the Hilfswerk GL Zürich, your first name, surname, address, and the amount donated (e.g. to thank you for your donation) will be recorded.

2.6 Information, Cancellation, Blocking

You have the right to be informed about the personal data stored by us and the purpose of its processing, and to demand correction, blocking or deletion of this data. To do so, please contact info@glz.org.

2.7 Right of Objection to Data Collection

We will not use your personal data for profiling or for individualized direct advertising (see also section 2.1). However, you have the right to object to the use of your personal data at any time. We will then no longer use the personal data, unless this is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

2.8 Right to Revoke your Consent to Data Processing

You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. This revocation does not affect the legality of the data processing that has taken place until then.

2.9 Security and Liability

GL Zürich has taken all reasonable technical and organizational security precautions to protect personal data from unauthorized access.

However, the provision of personal data via the internet is always associated with certain risks, despite all precautions. Despite the highest level of technical security, it is not possible to offer a hundred percent guarantee against sabotage or manipulation. GL Zürich cannot accept any liability for any damage that may result.
