This themed issue of The Spiritual World addresses one of humanity’s oldest questions: do human beings possess an immortal soul that lives on in a spiritual world after the death of the physical body? And if so, what is life like in that other, spiritual world? The first lecture of this issue reports on two friends who had different opinions about the fate of the soul after death. It describes what both of them experienced after their death and how one of them came to realize why it is so hard for human beings to attain belief in the world beyond. The second lecture reports on a deceased man who, following a violent death, was greeted and introduced to the new world by his parents, two of his brothers, and two of his children, who had died young. This issue also contains various questions and answers, covering subjects such as the possibility of proving life after death scientifically, and why some deceased people take a long time to realize that they have actually died.
