The archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael are known by name in Christendom. And some information is known about the nature of their tasks: Michael is seen as the warrior against evil, Gabriel is called the messenger, and Raphael is described as the angel of healing. This issue of The Spiritual World gives greater insight into the areas of responsibility of these mighty angelic princes and the legions that they lead. By means of various examples we are shown how human beings receive the support God’s spirit world on their path through life. Depending on the circumstances of their life and the level of need, they are offered help by angels from various choirs. If a person is sick or about to pass over into the world beyond, it is the missionary spirits who work with them. If it is a matter of protecting a person from temptation and the attacks of evil, then it is spirits of battle who stand by their side. And if it is about bringing someone a message from the world beyond – from a deceased relative, for example – then it is the messengers and information gatherers of God who perform their service.
